Job summary
We have a part time post, 22.5 hours per week to recruit for in the phlebotomy department at Walsall manor hospital. The post holder will carry out phlebotomy (blood sample collection) in the inpatients wards, outpatients department and the antenatal clinic. We also cover two external sites ; for which you will receive training for.
We are a Monday - Sunday service and the post holder will participate in a 7 day rota including bank holidays. If you are enthusiastic, flexible and take pride in your work then this could be opportunity for you.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for experienced Phlebotomists or individuals who have completed phlebotomy training to join the Phlebotomy Service based at Walsall Manor Hospital.
You will be responsible for taking blood samples from inpatients and outpatients at Walsall Manor hospital. You will need to demonstrate that you have the ability to work on your own initiative and to tight deadlines in a pressurized environment, and you must be able to walk, bend and handle medium loads over extended periods of time.
