Job summary
The post holder is required to provide pre and post care for elective and emergency cardiac patients.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will provide scrub nursing skills and act as an assistant to the Cardiologist during cardiac interventions within the angiography and pacing suite. The post holder will work within the team to ensure all patients are safely cared for from admission to discharge. This will be from pre assessment through to elective procedures.
At times the elective list may extend to accommodate emergency cases.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a professional registered nurse with an interest in cardiology. The role is primarily based within the 5 day Cardiac Intervention Suite, with some rotation to the Acute Cardiac Ward to allow training and updating within the cardiology nurse setting.
The applicant must be able to wear the radiation protection clothing for long periods of standing as this is an essential part of the role.
