Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for clinical support workers vacancies on Ward 29 Medical Short Stay Ward.
We are currently looking for a permanent Clinical Support Worker who is enthusiastic and motivated to join the team of General Medical/Elderly Care Ward.

You must be caring, compassionate, reliable and have a genuine interest to work with elderly care group patients and across the medicine and long term team.

A flexible approach to the hours of work is required; this includes long days (07:00-19:30) and night shifts (19:00-07:30) includes weekends and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Support Worker
Assisting patients with activities of daily living, in accordance with the care plan. These duties will include the delivery of hygiene care, nutrition and hydration, continence care, pressure area care, mobility and rehabilitation.
Therapeutically engaging with patients and their families, some of which will have dementia. The ward welcomes anyone with a interest in activity and entertainment that patients and staff will enjoy.
Being part of the wider MDT and making a daily contribution to the care patients receive.
Assist in taking and recording patient's observations and report changes to patient's health status to train nurse for action.
Support registered nursing staff with clinical treatments and investigations as appropriate, to the level of knowledge and skill.
