HCPC registered Podiatrist who already have a range of clinical skills which will include managing a varied community caseload and patients in high risk categories
The Podiatrist will work having extensive knowledge and skills, particularly in the following areas:
- Mobility and gait analysis
- Tissue viability and wound management
- Vascular and neurological conditions
- Dermatological pathologies
- Musculoskeletal pathologies
- Immunosuppressed conditions
- Caseload management
- Assessment skills
- Pharmacology and Antibiotic stewardship
Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, keen and enthusiastic HCPC registered Podiatrist who already have a range of clinical skills which will include managing a varied community caseload and patients in high risk categories. The post holder will compliment the service by using their first-class assessment, diagnostic and communication skills to develop programmes of care and their clinical expertise to implement treatment plans.

Have skills in the assessment, diagnosis, delivery and evaluation of individualised podiatric care packages to patients in a variety of locations including the patients own home.
- Contribute to maintaining tissue viability, maximise mobility, and relieve pain especially for patients with factors which place them at risk due to a variety of medical, structural and social needs e.g. diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, chronic systemic disease immunosuppressed, congenital abnormalities etc.
- Has investigative and analytical skills to assimilate and prioritise information in order to develop individual treatment plans based on clinical need and determine priority and risk status to facilitate caseload management.
- Has decision making skills to identify when patients require the intervention of other professionals e.g. Primary Care Teams, Tissue Viability Nurses, Musculoskeletal Team, Specialist Podiatrists, Orthotists etc.
