Are you passionate about supporting and developing our newly registered workforce? The Faculty of Research and Clinical Education at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and Education Team at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust are looking to recruit a Practice Educator Facilitator (PEF) to support our new registrants. The preceptorship team are looking for someone to join them in delivering and developing their multidisciplinary preceptorship programme across both organisations. If you are registered with the NMC or HCPC with at least 12 months clinical experience and a desire to develop others and yourself, we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
Using the Trust's care values you will focus on delivering the best care to our patients through education and development of our future and current workforce. The role will involve supporting the preceptorship and early career development of our nursing and allied health professional's workforce as part of the Preceptorship Team.
The post focusses on the development of newly registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals. We also provide preceptorship for overseas recruits and those completing Return to Professional Practice.

The majority of this role would be providing support and mentorship to all students and staff, assisting supervisors and assessors and being highly visible to all. Experience of developing and delivering training packages in a clinical setting would be advantageous. Passion to develop and support others is essential combined with the ability to build relationships rapidly. Applicants should be excellent networkers and able to confidently liaise with all non-medical professional staff groups to support learning.
It is essential that applicants have professional registration, have a general wide range of clinical experience supporting a good medical/clinical knowledge base, knowledge and skills across a range of clinical practical procedures and up-to-date knowledge of clinical governance and risk management. This post requires the successful applicant to be self-motivated, with excellent organisational and communication skills and with a strong team working ethic and must be able to evidence continuing professional development and leadership skills.
