This is an exiting opportunity to undertake a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship based in the resourcing department of an acute NHS trust. The team facilitate the recruitment needs of the organisation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised individual who would work well within this dynamic team, who can communicate well with internal and external candidates, support the administration needs of the team, and offer support to organisational managers.

The successful candidate will demonstrate efficient administration and customer service skills. Previous experience with Microsoft systems, databases and dealing with customers would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job

Undertake administrative duties under the direction of the resourcing team leaders

Communicate effectively with internal and external candidates/managers

Deal with queries both electronically and via the telephone

Plan organise and prioritise own workload

Input and retrieve information

We are providers of NHS acute care in Walsall, providing inpatients and outpatients at the Manor Hospital site as well as a wide range of services in the community.

We provide high quality, friendly and effective community health services, including GP surgeries and health centres.

Maintain working relationships with resourcing team leaders, leads and managers. Communicate effectively with candidates and managers internally and externally. Deal with queries both via electronic and via telephone. Use of email in an effective and professional manner to communicate with other departments, clinical and non-clinical colleague. Maintain their own personal development. To work autonomously and from own initiative. Plan, organise and prioritise own workload with mentor while accepting direction and delegation from higher level administrative staff, clinical staff, and managers. Always maintain a customer focus. Exercise good judgement, tact and discretion when dealing with inquiries following guidance and training. Assist team members with elements of the department delivery and administration

Receive and provide routine information to inform and support work colleagues, clinicians, other departments, patients, and clients as appropriate to the job. Provide cover for colleagues as required

Input and retrieve information from computerised information systems. To maintain databases and electronic systems ie Excel and Trac

Undertake general administration duties including Photocopying, faxing, Handling of post and printing.

Record and report all relevant information as appropriate
