Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating the pathway of care for all trauma patients. Highly specialist knowledge and advanced skills are required in order to assess the physical, psychological and social needs of patients following admission.
The candidate will be part of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) team on a rota covering all aspects of trauma and orthopaedics.
Main duties of the job
- Work effectively and resourcefully by coordinating the clinical care of patients and implementing clinical decisions made by the consultant.
- Use expert knowledge and clinical judgement to determine the need for investigations and make initial diagnoses.
- Act as an interface between medical practitioners, nursing staff, the multidisciplinary team, patients and their carers.
- Provide specialist advice to nursing and medical staff when required.
- Deliver ACP-led clinics--both virtual and face-to-face--within the outpatient setting, including advanced assessment, clinical examination, referral for investigations, and completion of clinical records.

- Registered Nurse or Allied Healthcare Professional
- Masters level degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or willing to work towards; to include independent prescribing
- Level 2 or equivalent in both GCSE Math and English
