Job summary
We are looking to recruit additional Radiography Assistants in the Diagnostic Imaging Department and would love to hear from you if you are an organised individual interested in patient care.
Radiography Assistants are essential for the smooth running of the Diagnostic Imaging service, supporting both patients and staff with a range of diagnostic imaging procedures.

Main duties of the job
The roleincludes:
- Clinical support and patient care during imaging procedures involving MRI, CT and X-Ray.
- Assistingin movement of beds, wheel chairs, and patients using manual handling equipment provided.
- Preparing the clinical rooms for procedures and working aseptically during procedures.
- Entering data into the radiology computer system.
- Communicating with members of staff outside of the department to arrange complex scanning procedures.
We are looking for a motivated and caring individual who is ready to learn new skills and join our friendly team.
The department operates a seven day service and shifts involving evenings, weekends and community hospital sites.

We are a designated trauma unit and part of the Wessex Trauma network. The hospital has secured funding for a new emergency department and intensive care unit to be completed in 2027.
