Main duties of the job

You will:

  • Provide orthodontic care for patients in Dorset with complex orthodontic needs
  • Supervise multidisciplinary teams to deliver cleft, orthognathic and hypodontia care
  • Deliver high quality, customer focused care

Essential

  • Full GDC registration
  • Entry on the GDC Specialist Register
  • To have undertaken an MScD or DDS or equivalent
  • Successfully completed ISFE or shortly to sit the ISFE (must be withing 6 months of interview)

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • Evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in managing complex orthodontic cases
  • Able to take responsibility for delivering the service required of a consultant
  • Experience in managing and involvement in treating patients presenting with Cleft Lip and Palate deformities, patients requiring Orthognathic surgery and Hypodontia

Current Skills & Abilities

  • Broad range of IT skills including Orthodontic specific platforms e.g. Dolphin
  • Ability to update clinical skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge of evidence based practice
