Job summary
Due to the expansion of our Urology Team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our enthusiastic, forward-thinking team.
Duties will include supporting, assisting and participating with procedures alongside Consultants and Specialist Nurses within the clinical environment. Procedures performed and tasks that the post holder will be involved may include those listed below and others as the service develops.
Main duties of the job
- Flexible Cystoscopies.
- Prostate Biopsies.
- Trial without catheter/catheter changes.
- Teaching catheterisation.
- Administration of intravesical chemotherapy.
- Performing flow rates / bladder scans / catheterisation.
- Assist In Urodynamics Clinics.
- Referral of patients to other services e.g. District Nurse.
- Assist in the development of the stone service.
- To contribute to the smooth running and development of the department through effective teamwork.

- Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC register
- Evidence of CPD
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

- Understanding of current issues in Nursing
- Experience working or training in an NHS establishment

- Experience of dealing with Urology Patients.
SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Evidence the ability to use digital technology e.g. Microsoft word, Teams, Power point. Knowledge of PAS, ICE, DPR
- Willingness to progress the Urology Nursing Service and undertake further education/study.
