Job summary

This is a very exciting opportunity to join an integrated Acute and Community Dietetic service based in Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester. This fixed term post has been created due to internal promotion. If you are a newly qualified or due to qualify Dietitian who is seeking the opportunity to experience a wide range of Clinical Dietetics and looking for an opportunity to develop your skills we would love to hear from you.

You will be based at Dorset County Hospital as part of the wider Dietetic Department of 30 dietetic, nurse and admin staff and you will have easy access to them for peer and senior support. You will also build professional relationships with your MDT colleagues.

Your line manager will provide regular reviews/support, to help you develop your skills. The Department encourages CPD and benefits from good relationships with neighbouring Dietetic Teams, with twice-yearly Dorset-wide Dietetic CPD sessions in addition to monthly Departmental sessions.

Main duties of the job

Maintain HCPC dietetic registration and provide effective and evidence based dietetic services to inpatients and outpatients at Dorset County Hospital and in other locations in both one-to-one and group settings.

Contribute to other aspects of Departmental working such as staff education and catering developments.

Work as part of the wider Dietetic Team in the promotion of holistic patient-centred care.
