Job summary
This is a stimulating post for a MRI radiographer who is keen on high quality service development and delivery. The post holder will work alongside the Cross sectional Lead to ensure the development of the MRI Service at Dorset County Hospital. Dorset County Hospital currently has 2 MRI scanners on the Dorchester site and will be looking to develop the Weymouth site as part of the CDC programme.
The Diagnostic Imaging Department was rated GOOD by the CQC and has achieved Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) Accreditation. Services are provided at the main Dorset County Hospital site and five community hospitals. The department has CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology with approximately 190,0000 examinations per annum across the department.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced, skilled, enthusiastic and innovative Lead MRI Radiographer ready to take up this challenging role in our friendly and dynamic department. Training in advanced MRI techniques would be desirable with special focus on cardiac MRI.
The Radiology Department is committed to facilitating flexible ways of working to help balance work and home life, whilst improving service delivery, motivation and morale. There is an opportunity for the candidate to undertake an MRI reporting course as funding has been identified and support from the consultant radiologists in the form of a mentor.
