Exciting opportunities are being developed to work within Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) at Dorset County Hospital.
We would like to invite Registered Nurses who are keen to support medical and surgical emergency same day care to avoid admission to hospital for patients.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurses who are organised and can use their own initiative whilst being flexible to frequently changing situations, to work alongside the Advanced Clinical Practitioners in SDEC where you will be supporting the Acute Physicians and Surgical Consultants in admission avoidance of emergency medical and surgical admissions.
The post requires excellent communication skills, with a range of health professionals in relation to patient admission and discharge, to support the working of the team with internal and external agencies, fellow professionals and to support safe and effective patient discharges from hospital and assistance with patient flow by avoiding hospital admission.
