Job summary

Are you a team player who works equally well on your own initiative, with a bright and cheerful disposition, a flexible attitude towards your work and can remain calm and work well in times of pressure? If so, then you could be the person we need.

We are looking for an organised, motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Information Assurance Team. The Team is responsible for checking and updating patient information, making enquiries about patient activity, and investigating discrepancies.

The issue of quality of data and information affects all aspects of the delivery of patient care and is the responsibility of everyone involved in delivering and supporting that care. Ensuring that information held on the Trust's clinical systems is of the highest possible standard (accurate, consistent and timely) is crucial for legal, operational, clinical, patient safety and contractual purposes. Assuring high-quality data for analysis is also vital to good decision making in the organisation.

Main duties of the job

You will receive and compile reports relating to the data quality on the Trust's clinical systems and liaise with staff across the Trust as well as GP Practices in order to provide the best possible data quality on the Patient Administration System and receiving systems. You will work in a timely manner with the ability to identify priorities. You should have good skills with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is essential. Previous experience working in hospital administration is required and we offer robust training for the specific duties of this role.

We work to tight deadlines and are responsible for checking and updating patient information, making enquiries with hospital staff, GPs and other services about patient activity, and investigating discrepancies.

The Data Quality Administrator role is a full-time, permanent role which is currently based in South Walks House in Dorchester.

About us

The Digital Services team is a friendly, hardworking, and supportive team, and we work with teams across the hospital on a range of projects and services. We are looking forward to welcoming the Data Quality Administrator into our team, and will work with them to ensure that they are supported to be effective and successful.

We are a Trust that celebrates diversity and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We would welcome applications from people in groups which are under-represented in our organisation.
