We need an extra project manager for 18 months who is able to deliver all the core project management skills- and on top of that enthuse, persuade and inspire collaboration.
Who are we?
The CANDo Programme works for the two acute Trusts in Dorset (Dorset County Hospital and University Hospitals Dorset). We bring together clinical and managerial teams across the two trusts to identify where working together more effectively can reduce inequalities, improve outcomes, improve service resilience or improve productivity. We then support these teams in making those collaborations a reality.
How we work.
We work flexibly across two NHS Trusts, and ten specialties with a mix of home and office based working. The current team is a mixture of a small number of dedicated staff and a larger number of staff contributing a proportion of their time. We provide a blend of PMO and business change support.

Selection will take place on 30th October at Dorset County Hospital and will consist of a short stakeholder group, and an interview.
Main duties of the job
JOB PURPOSE
To lead on the planning, delivery, and management of a number of Clinical Acute Network Dorset (CANDo) projects across Dorset County and University Hospitals Dorset as directed by the CANDo Programme Director. Allocated projects may change from time based on changing priorities.
- To support clinical leads in developing a number of additional clinical networks
- To support junior members of the wider matrix team in contributing to CANDo projects and networks.
Build effective project teams by working closely with clinical, management and admin staff, volunteers and patients.
To work with staff in the early stages of the project lifecycle, particularly in the development of the benefits, risks and feasibility.
To communicate project status, progress regularly to a wide audience; celebrating project milestones and closure with case studies and programme-wide communications
To use internal and external data to evidence, benchmark and reference improvement opportunities
Throughout the project support and deliver change.
