Locum Consultant in Dermatology 10 PA Job Plan to cover Maternity leave
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic whole-time consultant to join our thriving, extremely busy Dermatology Department at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to cover maternity leave until January 2027.
We offer a comprehensive dermatology service which is provided by a dedicated multidisciplinary team consisting of medical consultants, consultant nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, a medical photographer and a team of outpatient nurses with a special interest in the treatment of dermatological conditions. The department benefits from a full range of diagnostic imaging and pathology support services; and has close links with St George's Hospital and St Johns Dermatological Society.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide actively support and develop Dermatology services in Kingston and the surrounding area, and will share clinical responsibilities with professional colleagues within the department providing assessment, investigation and treatment of patients suffering with skin disease.
The post holder will be expected to work with clinical colleagues and local managers in providing a safe, efficient and effective service for Kingston Hospital. This will include the review of inpatients, provision of outpatient clinics, undertaking of minor operating lists and active participation in the Skin Cancer MDT support.
About us
The appointee will be expected to support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training. Research is encouraged and full facilities are available.
The successful candidate must be registered with the GMC with a valid license to practice in line with the introduction of re validation on 16 November 2009. You will also have completed Specialist Training and be entered on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or have a CCT date in Dermatology within six months of the date of interview.
