Job summary
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our busy and friendly dispensary team at Kingston Hospital.
- You will be working alongside an experienced team in a technician-led dispensary on providing a comprehensive dispensary service to a wide range of specialties including surgery, medicine, elderly care, critical care and our community services.
- In addition to excellent communication and team-working skills, you must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Main duties of the job
- To supervise the dispensary technical team and oversee the day to day running of the dispensary services.
- Responsible to lead the team and implement changes that benefit the Department.
- Deputise for the Chief Technician for allocated duties in their absence.
- Deputise for the Chief Technician - Dispensary Manager in their absence in supervising the dispensary.
- Responsible for making sure all duties are carried out in a timely manner and deadlines are met.
- Assist in the development and implementation of SOP's.
- To coordinate and investigate stock checks and discrepancies by completing the daily stock check reports.
- To assist in the induction of new starters and staff rotating through both departments.
