We have an exciting opportunity available to join the complement of Consultants based within the Trauma & Orthopaedic Service at Kingston NHS Foundation Trust.
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Soft tissue and knee arthroplasty
This new substantive post is full time and is required to support an increase in both our elective and non-elective demand. The successful applicant will form part of the fixed 1:10 on call consultant rota, delivering outpatient services both onsite and outreaching into community locations. Weekly operating lists are delivered both onsite and at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be an excellent team player, joining a team of 12 orthopaedic consultants and a well-established multi-disciplinary team. He/ She will be expected to work pro-actively in the efficient day-to-day running of this busy unit, with a commitment to developing and improving patient care for the future.
We have recently gone live with our Fracture Liaison Service, working with our community partners promoting healthy bones and fracture prevention.
About us
Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of four partners delivering arthroplasty services at South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, and the post holder will have weekly sessions allocated to operate there within their job plan.
This is a full time post and attracts 10 Programmed Activities per week, with the successful candidates being given the opportunity to discuss taking on further PA's upon appointment.
