Newborn Hearing Screening Assistant Manager

Job summary

The post holder will support the delivery and operational management of the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme (NHSP) across South West London and West Surrey, including but not limited to: St George's Hospital, Croydon University Hospital, Kingston Hospital, Epsom Hospital, St Helier Hospital, The Portland Hospital, Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals, The Royal Surrey County Hospital, Frimley Park Hospital, and Wexham Park Hospital.

Main duties of the job

As Assistant Manager, you will provide day-to-day operational and managerial oversight of the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme across the designated South West London and West Surrey sites. You will assist in coordinating service delivery, ensuring national and local protocols are followed, supporting the training and development of screeners, and maintaining high standards in data quality, communication, and family-centred care.The post holder will be directly managed by the Local Newborn Hearing Screening Managers who oversees services across both West Surrey and South West London.You will also support the local managers in performance reporting, training delivery, service audits, quality assurance preparation, and staff supervision. You will be a key point of contact between screening teams, audiology services, maternity/neonatal units, and other key stakeholders.
