Patient Experience and Involvement Officer

Job summary
The postholder(s) will gain experience of the wide range of work carried out by the Patient Experience and Involvement (PE&I) Team and will contribute to delivering our 4 year strategy.
Alongside the team, you will be responsible for:
Developing and delivering patient information including content for the patient leaflet library on the Trust website, making sure that all patient-facing information complies Trust policies and standards and is fully accessible.
Develop a Patient Entertainment and Distraction (PDE) service for inpatients and long-stay outpatients. This includes organising and overseeing a new team of PDE volunteers.
Manage our patient insights volunteers to gather patient experience feedback.
Other support for the team as needed.
Main duties of the job
Working with the team, you will:
Patient information
Coordinate the patient information quality assurance process. Work with clinical teams to catalogue, review and write and format information.
Administer current patient information reader panels and the quality assurance of patient information.
Develop expertise in publishing patient information using the Trust website (concrete)in accordance with the Trust's patient information policy and quality standards.
Patient entertainment and distraction (PDE)
Organise and coordinate PDE resources for inpatients throughout the Trust, developing a widely available menu for staff and patients.
Manage a team of volunteers who will help to deliver the PDE service.
Oversee other aspects of PDE such as patient experience of Wi Fi and access to chargers for patients' own devices.
Order and configure tablets, radios, TVs and other equipment provided by charity grants for PDE purposes.
Insights coordination
Coordinate and support patient insights volunteers within the PE&I team.
Support staff to access patient insights and involvement systems and processes, offering support as needed, for example, booking staff onto training or configuring FFT iPads.
Other duties as needed by the Team.
