You will lead our radiographic breast imaging team and be part of a multi-disciplinary breast team. You will work both in clinical and admin roles providing operational and strategic leadership for the breast imaging team in the delivery of a symptomatic imaging service, current equipment includes 2 Hologic 3Dimensions mammography units.

You should be experienced in all mammography studies and have a post graduate qualification in this specialism. Professional development is encouraged and there are opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career.

You must have good communication skills, flexible approach and attitude and have a pleasant and friendly manner.

Main duties of the job

o The successful applicant will work within the Radiology Department at Kingston Hospital providing a Symptomatic Breast Service working with consultant Radiographers and Radiologists.

o The successful application must have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively, both autonomously and within the team environment.

o To communicate effectively with clinical, managerial, administrative and ancillary staff to ensure a professional and timely service.

o Be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

o The successful applicant must be able to provide a high standard of imaging and ensure delivery of safe, compassionate and timely patient care.

o The successful applicant must be able to prioritise and organise workload in response to clinical need and service demands.

o To act as a role model for the profession and participate in the supervision, training and support of more junior staff.

o Ensure quality control of mammography equipment and ensure radiation protection procedures are practised.
