Job summary
Due to the expansion of the Royal Eye Unit admin team we are now looking for several Admin personnel to support our Reception team/call centre hub the role is varied so there would be an expectation to support our busy reception team. Delivering excellent customer service to our patients. The role would suit those with good communication skills over the phone, and that can remain calm under pressure when dealing with patients.
Working hours are, based on shift patterns of 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours a day, over 5 days running from Monday to Saturday.
Main duties of the job
Receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries as appropriate.
Input and look up data on Trust IT systems in accordance with Trust policy.
To assist colleagues as directed by the Line Manager in times of pressure of work.
Be sympathetic and sensitive to the requirements of staff, service users when communicating by telephone or face to face, including dealing with a difficult situatione.g. aggressive or demanding behaviour.
Demonstrate high levels of customer care.
Promptly answer telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in polite, and helpful manner, taking action as appropriate.
Reception duties, receiving and checking patients in, dealing with with queries.
