Job summary

The Surgery and Urology Investigations suite (Albany Unit) is an outpatient and minor procedures unit. It is a hub for Urology Investigations, outpatient clinics and our developing Sacral Nerve Stimulation service (SNS). It is a Monday to Sunday service, and the post holder will support the delivery of clinics and minor procedures through the unit. It is a self-contained unit co-located with the elective and emergency wards, and consists of two treatment rooms, a consultation room and a waiting/reception area.

Main duties of the job

Staff Nurse - Albany Unit

Hours: 37.5 per week

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and professional practitioner to join our Surgical and Urology Investigation Unit.

Albany Unit is an outpatient and minor procedures unit. It is a hub for Urology Investigations and Surgical outpatient clinics. It is a Monday to Sunday service, and the post holder will support the delivery of clinics and minor procedures through the unit. It is a self-contained unit co-located with the elective and emergency wards, and consists of two treatment rooms, a consultation room and a waiting/reception area.

This would be an ideal opportunity for an ambitious nurse to gain valuable experience working in this setting.

You should have some post registration surgical or endoscopy experience. You should have excellent communication skills, (written and verbal), a flexible approach and the ability to work on your own initiative.

Training will be given.
