Job summary
Lead Radiographer CT (Band 7)Full time - 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 CT radiographer to join our friendly team. The post holder will be responsible for:o supporting the CT lead Radiographer in providing an effective and safe CT service.o Managing the work area, providing professional clinical advice and support to the radiographers, students, and Radiographic assistants under your supervision.o Assisting the management of the CT service imaging service across the trust.o Being the educational lead for radiographer training within the CT service.o Maintaining high standards of care to patients and staff and will also be working towards service improvements where applicable.The CT department provides a full range of diagnostic studies and is equipped with 2 Siemens Definition edge multi-slice scanners and a GE Revolution Apex CT Scanner. There is also access to the scanner at the Community Diagnostic Centre at Queen Mary's Hospital Roehampton. The service currently sees approximately 55k examinations per annum and is located within a newly built area.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical guidance and educational support and training to the radiographers and other staff within CT in the Radiology department.
- The post holder will also be responsible for assisting in the managing of the CT scanner rooms as well as maintaining the highest standards of care for all patients undergoing examinations within the CT department.
- The post holder will be responsible for developing educational and training programs for the CT radiographers.
- The post holder must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and Senior management and be enthusiastic and committed to making a difference, and a commitment to improving practice through on-going personal and professional development.
