Job summary
The post holder will work as an integral part of the nursing team and will carry out specific duties and assigned tasks involving direct care, under the supervision of a registered nurse. They will ensure patients' needs are met by providing them with high quality care.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an excellent health care assistant who has an interest in women's health. Are you a caring and enthusiastic person with great people skills and the ability to work in a small team? If so we would love to hear from you.
The service is currently Monday to Friday and your shift patterns will be variable across a 4 week rota. This role will predominantly incorporate supporting hysteroscopy, cystoscopy, urogynaecology and out patients clinics. You will also be asked to travel to support some of our outreach clinics within the community. Whilst co-coordinating clinics you will be responsible for working with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure smooth running of the clinic, ensuring patients are kept informed of waiting times, prioritising tasks as appropriate, keeping well-coordinated stock levels or equipment and patient information leaflets.
There will be opportunities for learning and development. The ability to deal with challenging situations as well as having empathy and understanding for patients is very important. You must be dedicated to providing the best care, uphold the Trust values, have a proven track record of good performance and be able to demonstrate this at interview.
