Job summary

The post holder will be professionally accountable for the Trust's estates maintenance service and will lead and develop the cross functional maintenance team in delivering a fit for purpose, customer focussed service and provide robust assurance and audit arrangements to demonstrate compliance to relevant standards and legal compliance. Act as the Trusts Senior Authorised Person for Medical Gas, Water (L8), Ventilation and engagement with the Trusts Authorising Engineers.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Estates Officer (Mechanical) to complement our highly skilled Estates Department Team to continue our work to improve the Hospital environment and ensure safety.

Responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of our Mechanical & Ventilation system, Controls (BMS) and Medical Gas Pipeline System. The post holder will act as our Senior Authorised Person (AP) for our Heating & Ventilation system and will be our in house expert to review and plan repairs and maintenance to improve reliability, efficacy and effectiveness.
