Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Cardiology MDT Co-ordinator and Procedures Administrator to join the administrative team within this exciting speciality. Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has a busy Cardiology department including the Cardiac Procedures lab, a diagnostic department, outpatient clinics and a 30-36 bed ward.
You will be responsible for the administration of both the Cardiac Procedures lab and the MDTs within this busy department to ensure an efficient service for the Consultant Cardiologists, Specialist Nurses, Physiologists and other team members involved in the service.
You will possess excellent communication skills, which will be required to enable you to work closely with the Service Support Manager, Lead Specialist Nurse and the Consultant Cardiologists. You will be part of the wider administrative team and support each other to provide a professional and effective service.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be a senior administrator within the clinical services and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing support in the proactive management of the patient pathways, ensuring that information systems are kept updated and accurate, liaising as appropriate with patients and other staff in the hospital, ensuring the administrative processes are safely managed and efficient.
Specifically, the post holder will support for the service's Multidisciplinary meetings. This will ensure coordination of the patient journey, especially for those patients who need to move between Kingston Hospital and Tertiary Centres.
The post holder will be responsible for the coordination and organisation of the multi-disciplinary team meetings and will attend these meetings obtaining and recording relevant information.They will be responsible for the coordination of reports, investigations, radiology results and clinic appointments and will be required to work closely and proactively with the clinical teams to ensure consistent delivery of service.
The post holder will also coordinate the Cardiac Catheter Lab Service. The post holder is a member of the Cardiology Administrative team and will provide cross-cover for colleagues as necessary.
