Main duties of the job

Applicants will need to be highly organised and capable of leading and supporting all aspects this work in addition to supporting daily operational management within the cluster. The post holderwill be supported by the ED management team and divisional structures. Project management support is provided.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their career at deputy general manager level.

  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Recognised post-graduate management qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years general and operational management experience to include the management of a large multi-disciplinary group of staff - part of which to have been in the NHS
  • A proven record of success in managing significant operational / strategic change whilst also developing and maintaining the provision of a high quality service, within a clinical setting, with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Significant experience planning strategy for a complex acute hospital service (s).
  • Experience of team working and building and maintaining effective working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Fully developing staff potential through facilitating training, development and education initiatives
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and influence
  • Evidence of sound budgetary management experience
  • Experience in service redesign and project management
  • Experience of working with external organisations
