Job summary
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Manager of Medical Education to succeed the retirement of our current post holder.
If you are looking for a new challenge or perhaps a change in direction then we would welcome your application as previous experience as a Medical Education Manager is not essential (although knowledge of the role is). You will want to work in a challenging and fast paced environment and also have a breadth of knowledge and experience across a range of medical education programmes in the NHS.

Main duties of the job
You will take overall managerial and operational responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Postgraduate, GP and Undergraduate Medical Education teams liaising closely with the Director of Medical Education (DME) & the Deputy Chief People Officer to provide the best possible support to all medical staff and students within Kingston Hospital.
You will enjoy building a strong and committed team of people whilst working closely with a range of directors, senior doctors and medical students/trainees. You will also be familiar with and confident liaising with external organisations e.g. Health Education England and Medical Schools.
The post involves financial management responsibilities associated with the Learning and Development Agreement (LDA), educational contracts, business planning, departmental policy and service development s is varied and interestins. You will also represent the department on behalf of the DME and Deputy CPO both within the Trust and at meetings with external organisations (Foundation School, National Association Clinical Tutor, Health Education East of England (HEEE) and London Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education.
