Patient Pathway Coordinator - Band 4

We are recruiting a Patient Pathway Coordinator (Band 4) in our ENT & Audiology service. You will be the first point of contact for all administrative issues and escalated concerns relating to our patients' pathway of care. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide expertise in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire process is managed smoothly as well as booking procedures. The role will also involve supervising and allocating work to other members of the admin team.

Main duties of the job

You will ensure the provision of a high-quality service for patients and clinical staff by being an approachable, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact. You will make sure administrative work is of a consistently high standard using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure functions of the role are carried out correctly within given timescales.

An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and IT skills are essential. A working knowledge of the Referral to Treatment 18 Weeks Patient Pathway is desirable. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a busy and fast-paced environment.
