Job summary
You will be actively involved in the development of private patient nursing support service for cancer patients receiving treatments here at Kingston Hospital in partnership with the Royal Marsden Hospital, medical oncology team. This role will include care, support, and provision of information, signposting and referral to other agencies for patients with cancer who are receiving; systemic anticancer therapy.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, dynamic and committed experience nurse to join our cancer nursing team at Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional who is already an experienced nurse working cancer patients in oncology, to join our cancer CNS team working in the private cancer care pathway, in line with the NICE guidance for cancer, including living with and beyond cancer in line with the 2015 Achieving World - Class Cancer Outcomes and the Recovery Package.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with previous experience and an up to date knowledge of anti cancer systemic therapies would be an advantage. You will be a registered general nurse with appropriate experience and/or qualifications. This includes good interpersonal skills, an excellent up to date knowledge base and the ability to work independently.
