Job summary

Urogynaecology Nurse - Band 6 Full Time - Women's Services

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our urogynaecology team, working alongside our Consultant Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Urogynaecology Consultants to grow the service. The nurse performs a vital role in patient support, education and delivering nurse led treatments. If you are a nurse looking to specialise in Urogynaecology, or already have some of the skills we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will support the Urogynaecology nursing service and will have the opportunity to train to run nurse-led urogynaecology clinics under the supervision and support of the established nursing and medical teams. You will be a registered nurse with excellent interpersonal skills, an up to date knowledge base and the ability to work independently.

We have competency based training and development pathway, which will enable you to learn the skills to undertake nurse-led Urogynaecology clinics. These include; vaginal pessary management, bladder instillations, bladder training, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation and teaching intermittent self-catheterisation. Clinics will either be face to face or telephone consultations.
