Sponsorship (for external applicants) and secondments (for internal applicants) are available within North East London Foundation Trust for: Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Course (Health Visiting and School Nursing) with Community Placements within London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Havering & Redbridge. To ensure all our student SCPHN practitioners receive the best possible learning environment NELFT have a robust model of learning practice with dedicated Practice assessors and practice supervisors. We offer a very enabling preceptorship programme, taking on board the Institute of Health Visiting and School Nursing principles, which supports clinical governance through the process of developing a culture of lifelong learning and good employment practices, as well as varying forms of supervision inclusive of Clinical, Safeguarding and Restorative Supervision.
Main duties of the job
Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Course Applications: NELFT is delighted to invite applicants who are suitably qualified nurses to undertake the above course. Candidates must hold: Current NMC Registration for nursing or midwifery Evidence of applying for NMC registration and confirmed NMC registration within 2 months of the start date. The course will be at level 7 and candidates will require a 2:2 or evidence of study at Level 7. Students will have the course paid for will receive a salary up to mid-point Band 5 (dependant on NHS experience) Internal candidates to contact Lynn.barton@nelft.nhs.uk for further information.
