Job summary

We are looking to welcome a Team Administrator to join Havering District Nursing Service in Romford Clinic.

The service work from the district nurse office based on Romford Clinic site. We currently operate Monday- Friday 08:30 - 17:00.

Main duties of the job

This role provides administrative support to both our clinicians and patients. It involves telephone and face to face contact with our service users as well as behind the scene general administrative duties. The role includes stock taking, ordering, receipting and storage of supplies.

This post is suitable for someone who enjoys working as part of a busy team but is also able to work on their own initiative. The role allows for developmentof secretarial skills as well as general administrative tasks.

As part of the Trust's objective to redeploy as many staff as possible, this role is restricted to existing internal administration staff that have contracted hours for the Trust only. This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
  • NVQ Administration/Customer Service Level 3 or equivalent level of proven experience

Experience

Essential

  • Working in a busy office environment
  • Experience of GDPR, storing and maintaining Rio records
  • stocktaking, ordering, receipting goods and safe storage of items ordered
  • ensuring purchase orders are received and or / returned if unsuitable
  • requesting pat testing and service level data for clinical equipment / appliances
  • Escalating environmental concerns to Estates
  • outcoming activity and running reports as requested by team lead
  • undertaking fire warden duties fo district nursing service
