Job summary
We currently have a Secondment available due to maternity leave in our Older Havering Mental Health Team based in Gubbins Lane Harold Wood.
We have had new investment in mental health worker posts, peer support workers posts and support time recovery workers to support the integrated team to work as one around the patient, their families and their social networks. Our vision is for this new investment to help start a new era in our mental healthcare provision at NELFT, making us among the most holistic, relational and person-centred services in the country.
Main duties of the job
This role encompasses supporting staff through clinical expertise and leadership to manage the Older Adult mental health team.
It includes managing a duty rota, supporting staff and complex patients. The role includes attending and chairing MDT's, referrals and allocations meetings. There will be opportunities to supervise staff formally and informally.
It will include management and support of the teams KPI's and supporting the manager as needed.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Higher Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).
