We are looking for a speech and language therapist to join our pre-school community team in Waltham Forest. You will be joining a friendly, supportive and forward thinking team.

Main duties of the job

Speech and Language Therapists are core to the efficient service delivery that we provide to children, young people and their families.

As a Speech and Language Therapist in our service, you will deliver care to children, young people and their families in Waltham Forest.

You will join our pre-school team delivering initial assessments and intervention to our families. There will also be opportunities to work in other areas of the service, dependent on needs of the service and your interests.

Our band five therapists are well supported through our band five peer supervision group and regular supervision from an experienced therapist. We have regular catch-meetings and service specific meetings.

We have both internal and external training opportunities and promote being a reflective team where change is welcomed.

Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing onengagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer LondonThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of15%of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and amaximum payment of £5,941 - per annum, pro rata for part time).
