We have 0.6WTE vacancy for a Paediatric Specialist Speech & Language Therapist in Barking & Dagenham in NE London in the Deafness Pathway.This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, supportive and experienced SLT team that can develop your skills and interests. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to be part of our team and contribute to the future of our service.

This is a really exciting time to join our team!We provide a range of CPD through whole-team training, away days and individual training. You will join monthly team meetings and will be invited to integrated children's services meetings. We also have regular team socials and bring and share lunches. We are a flexible service with options for compressed hours and working in a way that suits the needs of the service and yourself.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist knowledge, advice, training and teaching to parents, carers, students and the Speech and Language Therapy team.

To work closely with clients, carers, families and school staff to embed inclusive speech, language and communication practice across settings.

Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15%of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941 - per annum, pro rata for part time).
