Job summary

We are seeking motivated and dynamic Band 5 Occupational Therapists with interest in general physical rehabilitation to apply for this exciting opportunity to work with NELFT's inpatient therapy wards at Meadow Court.

The role will require the successful candidate to work as part of the team based within an inpatient setting but with interface with other NELFT services and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery is of a high quality.

As part of the Inpatient therapy team, we can offer you:

  • Regular clinical and managerial supervision
  • A programme of In-service training including journal club
  • Training and development opportunities

Main duties of the job

The post holder will utilise a range of skills and experience gained in clinical practice toperform a specialist, comprehensive assessments using clinical reasoning skills and assessment techniques to formulate a treatment plan based on clinical findings.

Excellent communication skills are essential as well asgood knowledge of current OT best practice and the ability to work as an effective team member across multi-professional team.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
