We are seeking a qualified Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of one year of post-registration clinical experience in mental health to join our friendly and motivated team. This role involves a degree of autonomous working and provides an opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of older adults with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including:

The normal working pattern of this role is 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday. IT skills and experience with electronic recording systems such as RIO are essential. Flexibility in working hours to meet the demands of the service is also required.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing holistic mental health assessments for older adults, including the identification and management of risks to the individual, others, or from others. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work independently, possess strong time management skills, and effectively prioritize their workload.
You will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with other agencies to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused care. As a coordinator for a caseload of service users with complex and challenging needs, your duties will include:
- Conducting mental health assessments
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans
- Supporting service users in maximizing their recovery opportunities
- Providing support to the carers of service users
In addition, the post holder will:
- Provide clinical supervision to junior colleagues
- Act as a student Nurse assessor and supervisor
- Participate in ongoing educational and research programs

About us
Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
