Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced community nursery nurse with experience within 0-19 universal services to enhance their skills and knowledge within the new Pre and Post Birth Multiagency Team.This team will work alongside and in partnership with Children's Social Care in Redbridge to support families through pregnancy until 1yr post birth where an enhanced need is identified. The post holder will be based alongside children's social care within Lynton House in Ilford.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the specialist health visitors and wider team to offer support and guidance to parents and babies from pregnancy to 1yr. The post holder will be visiting Mothers/parents to support the physical and emotional needs of them and their babies. The post holder will be required to work as part of the team and be able to act as an autonomous practitioner working on their own initiative. They will have a commitment to collaborative working to ensure that babies are offered the best possible start in life.
The post holder will work as part of the wider team with the aim to reduce safeguarding risks and reduce health inequalities.
The post holder will be required to have a minimum of 3yrs experience working in the community and be able to demonstrate experience working with vulnerable families.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High-Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) pro rata for part time staff.
