Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist who is looking to build upon their existing skills to Band 6 competency.
The post holder will provide high standard physiotherapy service to adults with learning disabilities including complex health needs in the community for London Borough of Redbridge.
The successful candidate will be part of an integrated community team made up of health and social care professionals within LD and other health disciplines such as district nursing, community rehabilitation and strong joint working partnership with other mainstream health and social care settings both in primary and secondary care levels.
The successful candidate will be offered the best support within MDT and directly from the Clinical Lead for their supervisions and appraisals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a physiotherapist responsible for patients allocated to them, manage and deliver care through specialist assessments, analysis, risk assessments, physiotherapy care plans (diversified person-centred treatment approaches), demonstration of therapy to clients, families, carers, conducting physiotherapy reviews, supporting LeDER case studies, equipment management and care co-ordination thus being professionally and legally accountable.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High-Cost Area Supplement

- Bachelor's Degree and or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy
- Professional Registration with UK Health and Care Professions Council
- Post-graduate training/experience in wheelchair referrals, orthotics, postural management, innovative care, gait analysis, various Orthopaedic, Neurological & Respiratory Conditions, hydrotherapy, communication, working with older people and those having mental health and Learning disability
- Evidence of on-going CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to learning disability physiotherapy, leadership and management
