Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic full time , Band 6 Physiotherapist in North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) in Waltham Forest Falls Prevention Service.
The successful applicant will demonstrate an interest in Falls Prevention & rehabilitation. The Waltham Forest Falls Service is a well established mulltidisciplinary team, with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, falls nurse and rehabilitation assistants to ensure a holistic approach to care. We aim to help the people of Waltham Forest regain their independence and live the best life possible following a Fall.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside other community services within Waltham Forest.
We are interested in hearing from Physiotherapists with proven clinical and communication skills to work as part of our friendly, supportive and innovative team. Previous experience in a community setting, Falls Prevention and rehabilitation in the NHS is highly desirable.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to utilise a range of skills and experience gained in clinical practice to undertake comprehensive and holistic Falls Assessments. The post holder will demonstrate clinical reasoning skills and advanced assessment techniques to formulate a Falls treatment plan based on clinical findings. Sound post graduate experience is essential as well as excellent communication skills, good knowledge of current PT best practice and the ability to work as an effective team member. We also offer Falls Education & Exercise classes across the borough.

About us
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436).
