About us

In collaboration with partners and service users across Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, NELFT is currently transforming its Community Mental health services. Our collective vision for the programme is to radically transform our whole model of Mental Health Care and Support over the next three years and beyond. Our aim is to develop services that are centred around the service user and their social network, that deliver high quality evidence based care, embedding psychologically informed models of distress and trauma informed care. The psychological professions are seen as essential to these aims.

Increasing levels of demand and complexity in our population, coupled with new funding flows for mental health, mean we have an exciting opportunity to reimagine how we deliver care across all age groups and levels of need.

The service lead will be expected to support a level of integration with Primary Care Networks, local partners in the borough, and NELFT's new, multi-agency, integrated and place-based neighbourhood teams that support people with serious mental health needs to receive their care closer to home.

You will join a group of Psychological service leads in Havering. NELFT has excellent links with local training courses and academic partners. We have a strong track record of support for research, and are committed to developing research active and research aware services.
