An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 3 Phlebotomy Administrators to join our NELFT BHR community phlebotomy team. We require staff who can work in our busy fast paced service and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. The successful applicant must be flexible, a good team worker and be able to communicate effectively with patients, carers and other members team.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include processing urgent and routine referrals for our clinic and domiciliary services, dealing with patient queries on the telephone and providing reception support in our phlebotomy clinics.

We currently run phlebotomy clinics in Barking & Dagenham (B&D), Havering and more recently have expanded to the Redbridge area, so now would be an exciting time to join us!

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436).

  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject or with significant equivalent experience

Skills

  • 1 years administrative experience including the use of Excel and RiO (or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

Desirable

  • Experience of processing referrals and working in healthcare

  • To be aware and demonstrate the Trust Values
  • A U.K drivers licence and the ability to use a car on a daily basis
