Come and work in Waltham Forest with NELFT's Child and adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS ), and be part of one of the UK's most innovative healthcare Trusts.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative & experienced candidate to join our fantastic team within Waltham Forest CAMHS.
You will join the other members of our Participation team where you will work collaboratively with the Children & Young People of Waltham Forest to think about how we can ensure our CAMHS service is accessible to all and continues to develops as a service where Children & Young People are held at the core of our work.
You will also offer mental health based groupwork to CYP in the community, alongside other CAMHS PCT clinicians.
Main duties of the job
In Waltham Forest CAMHS PCT we currently have these services:
- o Preventative programs in schools, family hubs, GPs and other local placeso Advice, training and support for other health and social serviceso A range of services including short psychological treatments, groupwork and mindfulness in schoolso More in-depth psychological treatments, which are evidence based and delivered by highly skilled practitioners in specialist teams
- Groupwork delivered in some schools and community spaces

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).

You may be newly qualified as a therapist and will have had experience working in one or more of the following services: schools, nursery's, hospitals, social care or other. The team holds regular CPD and multi-disciplinary sessions so that there is a sharing of knowledge and skills. Our current clinical team comprises of nurses, counsellors, psychotherapists,art therapists, psychiatrists, and psychologists. About NELFTNELFT is an experienced provider of mental health services for children and young people, already providing these services in four London boroughs. We also offer more in-depth psychological treatments.
