Job summary

We are looking for an interim Temporary Staffing Bookings Manager to provide maternity leave cover for approximately 9 to 12 months. A key focus of the role will be to provide leadership and management of the NELFT Temporary Staffing Bookings team, ensuring that our operational services have adequate temporary staffing cover. The successful candidate will also play an important part in supporting the Bank and Agency Workforce Transformation project to drive down agency staff spend and further develop the NELFT internal Staff Bank .

The successful candidate will;

ideally have previous experience of working in a temporary staffing environment or equivalent experience in managing a large operational/transactional team;

experience of using health roster, Bank Staff, ESR management information functions; excellent verbal/written communication skills; and strong IT and organisational skills.

Main duties of the job

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Lead on the management for Temporary Staffing, responsible for the booking, payroll, invoicing, compliancy and reporting functions; in meeting the Trusts objectives to reduce agency staff usage and providing a customer focused service.
  • Full line management responsibility for the pay/reporting lead and bookings lead.
  • Accountable for the bookings/payroll/compliance and invoicing team.
  • Responsible for ensuring that processes and systems are in place to ensure that an efficient and accurate service is provided to all stakeholders.
  • Manage the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for temporary staff.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,192 to a maximum of £2,011 p.a. pro rata for part time).

Management

  • Explore potential incentives for maximising efficiencies within the Bank workforce with a view to reducing agency dependency and costs.
