Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker within the Older Adults Home Treatment Team. OAHTT is a Multi-Disciplinary Team which provides a specialist service for older adults that present with a mental health crisis. The service is an alternative to hospital admission and works intensively with service users in their own home.
Main duties of the job
The post will provide specialist assessment and intervention to service users within the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest. You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to provide a co-ordinated service, contributing specialist knowledge and advice to others involved in the service user's care.The post holder needs to be an enthusiastic and innovative Social Worker with experience of working with older adults.
The post holder will be expected to work across a 7 day a week rota including weekends and bank holidays and will need to be able to travel across all 4 Boroughs in order to carry out their clinical duties.This post will be subject to a probationary period. Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High-Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436).
