Job summary
We are looking for a flexible and dynamic individual who enjoys working in a multi disciplinary team and has the capability to work independently in the community. We would like someone who has experience of working in a community setting, who has worked independently with adult Mental Health clients. We arrange regular appointments with our clients in order to provide one to one support to develop ADL's. Our aim is focus on client recovery to enable people to live independently and achieve their desired goals.Our working hours are 9 - 5 Monday - Friday (One weekend every 8 weeks). The base is at Church Road, Harold Wood, although all staff have the option to be agile and cover all of the London Borough of Havering.The team consists of Consultant psychiatrists, Social workers, Nurses, Support time and recovery workers, Occupational therapists and Administrative staff.
Main Purpose of the Job:
This is a London Borough of Havering position -full time 36 hours per week.To manage the Support, Time and Recovery (STR) Team.To focus on the direct needs of service users.To work across boundaries of care.To provide support, give time and thus promote recovery to clients with more complex needs.

Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES:To supervise, as directed by the Social inclusion and resources Manager- Employment and Leisure, the Support, Time and Recovery Team.To be responsible for a small caseload of service users. To establish supportive and empowering relationships with the service user and carer.To work in isolated situations with service users who may be vulnerable or at risk and also to support team members to do the same.To liaise with other agencies and any other relevant professional, and to direct STR Workers in doing so.To be responsible for monitoring changes, both positive and negative within the lives of those who receive services from the STR Team as a whole, and notify the Support Services Manager- Employment and Leisure accordingly.To take appropriate action in cases of emergency, and to offer direction to STR Team in consultation with the Support Services Manager- Employment and Leisure.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Higher Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,108 to a maximum of £5,177).
