The post holder will care coordinate a small caseload of services users whilst supporting the team as one of the clinical leads.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead a team of OT's to provide specialist functional assessments. This will include assessments of daily living skills using the Model of Human Occupational Assessment tools to ascertain level of functional ability, related risk factors, level of support, and accommodation needs in order to implement community care plans, provide adaptive equipment and maintain a high standard of service user care.

The post holder will have the opportunity to lead and support in the facilitation and delivery of group programmes alongside other OT staff.

The post holder will provide specialist recovery and social inclusion focused assessments and advice, with an emphasis on supporting service users with their education and training goals.

The successful post holder would also be expected to collaboratively work with the IPS employment workers to support service users with their employment goals.

The post holder would have support from the Mental Health and Wellness Teams Manager, Redbridge Lead OT, and would be invited to attend the Occupational Therapy mental health network in the borough that meets regularly to provide peer support.
