Specialist Pharmacist - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) (Band 7)
Are you looking to develop your clinical pharmacy skills that put patients first in all that you do? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, passionate and driven individual to join our well established innovative team of clinical pharmacists, technicians and support staff to provide clinical pharmacy support to in-patient and community Young People's Mental Health Services across Kent and Medway
The clinical pharmacy team has an outsourced provision for medicines dispensing and supply, and therefore this role will be required to provide patient facing clinical services across our inpatient units and community teams.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing a clinical pharmacy service, involving all aspects of medicines optimisation to designated areas. This will involve the extension of medicines reconciliation and to facilitate seamless discharge. You will be working with multidisciplinary teams across NELFT and advising teams on medicines risk management issues such as the reduction of medication incidents, providing medicines information, ensuring compliance with medicines, and other medication related issues, with a focus on child and adolescent mental health.

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,192 to a maximum of £2,011)
